"The Andy Griffith Show", particularly its first five seasons from 1960-1965, is my favorite TV show of all time. The snippet above is from what I consider to be its greatest episode, "Opie the Birdman". Opie kills a bird with a slingshot, leaving a nest full of birds without a mother. Andy tells Opie that it is his responsibility to feed and take care of the small birds. So, Opie does a masterful job of keeping the infant birds in a cage, feeding them, watching them grow, until the inevitable day arrives when the birds are ready to leave the "nest". At first, Opie is reluctant to set the birds free, but Andy assures him that they will be alright. The above video shows that scene.
