In February 1984, a local TV news magazine filmed a segment on my book, "As I Write This Letter", in conjunction with The Beatles 20th anniversary of arriving in the USA (February 1964). I helped organize a tribute to The Beatles in Ithaca NY, including a showing of the film, A Hard Days Night, at the State Theater, and appeared on Ithaca College's weekly radio program, "Breakfast with The Beatles". The crew also filmed at my home. Now, we are coming upon the 50th anniversary of The Beatles arrival in the USA. Back in 1964, my 8th grade Social Studies teacher told my class that no one would even remember The Beatles in five years. Ha...what did he know? Apologies for the 1984 TV ad in the beginning of the video, and the poor sound quality. However, I don't apologize for still having hair, and no gray in my beard in 1984. ;-)
