This is an article about "The Giant's Chair" that appeared in the Ithaca Times, a weekly newspaper, in March 2006. As I recall the writer and I met at a local Ithaca bagel eatery and she interviewed me for about an hour. Very introspective, and quoted me accurately.

Steve Leshin--"Vengeance Of The Ripper"
www.amazon.com/Vengeance-The-Ripper-Steven-Leshin/dp/0557052963/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1334512948&sr=1-1
The first book from my good friend, Steve Leshin. Steve has always had a great imagination. For many years during the late 70s and early 80s, we sent each other tape cassettes containing skits and humorous mayhem, including his Sherlock Holmes parody with detective Vladmir Winston. In "Vengeance of the Ripper", Steve combines his admiration for turn of the century England and America, by imagining Jack the Ripper showing up on the West coast of the United States, where he has a run-in with famed lawman, Wyatt Earp. Also see below for his second book, a collection of his published magazine cartoons, "Cartoon Madness". And look at the "Photos" section of this website for the cartoon drawings Steve did for the Catone family Christmas cards.

Sixties High School Video
www.vimeo.com/10489865
I graduated from Danbury High School (Danbury CT) in 1968. Peter Stassa, Class of 1969, made this incredible video for the DHS Class of 1969's 40th Reunion in 2009. Anyone who attended high school anywhere in the USA during the late 60s and early 70s can identify with this video...the flavor, attitudes, clothing, hairstyles, events, and music...it's all there. The video runs for almost 25 minutes, and is well worth the view. Yours truly appears briefly in this video, during the song "All You Need Is Love", after the first verse when John Lennon sings "it's easy". I'm the guy in the back row of the chorus photo, on the right. Don't blink...you might miss it, as did I the first time I saw it.

The Greater Generation--Leonard Steinhorn
www.amazon.com/Greater-Generation-Defense-Baby-Legacy/dp/0312326408
It's about time someone wrote a book like this! The Sixties Generation is often trivialized and demonized, and said not to have accomplished anything after 1969. Professor Leonard Steinhorn proves the naysayers wrong, and shows the long lasting contributions and accomplishments of the generation which came of age in the Sixties.

Alan Canfora's Kent State website
alancanfora.com/
Alan Canfora was one of the students wounded by gunfire from the Ohio National Guard on May 4, 1970. He is the person in the famous photo of a student waving a flag with troops kneeling in front of him. His website is a great source for the history of that national tragedy as well as details about past and current investigations...including the recent discovery of an audio tape which reveals the National Guard troops were ordered to fire their guns that day. For all the information and news about what happened at Kent State on May 4, 1970, Alan Canfora's website is the one to view. See my article about my experiences of May 4, 1970 under the "Beatles/Sixties Articles" of my website.
